Barcelona Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
