Debated American-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Terminates Humanitarian Work
The debated, United States and Israel-funded GHF aid organization declares it is concluding its relief activities in the affected area, after almost six months.
The group had already suspended its three food distribution sites in Gaza following the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel took effect recently.
The foundation sought to circumvent United Nations channels as the main supplier of relief to Palestinian residents.
UN and other aid agencies declined to participate with its approach, saying it was questionable and hazardous.
Numerous Gazans were lost their lives while trying to acquire nourishment amid chaotic scenes near the foundation's locations, mostly by Israeli fire, as reported by United Nations.
The Israeli military claimed its soldiers fired warning shots.
Program Termination
The organization declared on recently that it was concluding activities now because of the "successful completion of its humanitarian effort", with a total of three million packages containing the corresponding to over 187 million food portions distributed to Gazans.
