Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane landed based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This incident isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
