Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate placed a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public personalities expressed different comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering controversial statements that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they demonstrated a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser should have acted when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
